Keep micro-channels clear for optimal healing. If necessary, makeup may be applied the following day.
Gentle Cleansing Only
Do not cleanse the skin on the evening of treatment. For 2–3 days after, use a mild fragrance-free cleanser. Avoid acids, retinols and actives for 3 weeks.
Expect Some Skin Tightness
The first night your skin may feel tight. Light exfoliation is normal as spicules naturally exit the skin over days 4–7 — a sign the treatment is working.
SPF Every Single Day
Renewing skin is more photosensitive. A broad-spectrum SPF 30+ is non-negotiable. Avoid direct sun and tanning for at least 14 days post-treatment.
The Shedding Phase Days 4–7
Light to moderate flaking in localized areas is completely normal. Do not pick, scrub or pull at the skin. The reveal underneath is worth the patience.

Most clients describe a mild tingling or light pricking sensation — comparable to a gentle exfoliating mask, not needles. No topical anaesthetic is needed. Suzie’s application technique ensures the treatment remains comfortable throughout.
Minimal. Most clients return to normal activities the same day. Some redness can last up to 12 hours. Light to moderate flaking may occur between days 4–7 as the spicules naturally exit — this is completely normal. By day 7, fresh, revitalized skin is the reward.
You will see visible results after just one session. For optimal, lasting revitalization, a series of 4 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart is recommended. It may take 2 or more treatments to target deeper layers of skin for maximum results.
A skin consultation is strongly recommended prior to treatment. SQT Bio Microneedling consultations with Suzie are complimentary. This ensures the correct protocol is selected for your skin and any contraindications are assessed in advance.
Yes. Because there is no metal needle, no skin breakage and no acid involved, there is significantly lower risk compared to traditional microneedling. SQT is suitable for all skin tones including aged, dry, normal, acne-prone and oily skin. Sensitive skin is assessed at consultation.
Discontinue retinoids, glycolic acids, salicylic acids and AHAs/BHAs at least 7 days before treatment. Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior. Do not wear makeup on the day of your appointment. If you have a history of cold sores in the treatment area, please discuss this with Suzie before booking.
Please advise Suzie of any history of herpes or cold sore outbreaks in the treatment area. Postpone your appointment if you have had waxing, peels, Botox, fillers, microneedling, laser, Hydrafacial or microdermabrasion within the past 48 hours. Not recommended during active breakouts, open wounds or strong recent sun exposure.
